Time for another weekly update on The Grid Glitch. Not much happened on my end this week, though, as I was busy attending GDC in San Francisco showcasing another game of mine, The Robot Split in Time (Another blog post about that will be coming later).
That being said, everyone else on the team worked extra hard this week. Here's a brief summary of what happened:
Level 2 has been updated to reflect feedback
Level 3 is beginning to enter the testing phase
Some environmental pieces of art have been implemented
All of the Tail models have been modeled and textured and are currently being animated
More music has been added
UI block-ins are beginning to be implemented
The Ramps have finally had most of their bugs ironed out
Lots and lots of other bug fixes and other enhancements
Playable Demo
Once again, a new testable build of our game is available for testing. You can find Version 0.41 for Windows only here. Other platforms can be made available upon request. All of the rules and details from before still apply, and can be found at the end of this post.
Level 2 is now part of the main game, so I hope you'll look forward to trying it out. Level 3 is also included in the build, but it's hidden due to its current fragile state. If you really want to test it, though, you can find out how in the included "README.txt" file. Just know that it's not entirely complete at this point.
I want less programming bugs and more of The Glitch bugs.
