Practicing Linear Algebra: Vector Reflection

This post is the second part of my short series on practicing linear algebra. The first part can be found here. This time, I tackled the vector reflection problem that I've seen in the past, but wasn't able to figure out - until now!

Vector Reflection
Behold the traditional mating dance of wild vectors

The blue plane serves as the axis of reflection for the vectors. The white line coming off of it represents the normal of reflection, which is critical for this to work.

The red line is the vector that I controlled, whereas the green line is the reflection vector, which moves automatically to match my own movements.

The solution was actually surprisingly simple, especially once you figure out exactly how projections work. I'd definitely recommend trying to solve this problem yourself if you're interested in testing your own linear algebra skills.

Knowing how to do this a month ago would've been really helpful...
